Anonymous asked: Do you paint? If so what would you recommend for a basic starter kit. (Like good brands and such as well)

Hi! I don’t paint very often, but I do really enjoy it! I usually use acrylic paint from a local art store (most of them are Golden brand) and occasionally I’ll watercolor (I buy the Utrecht brand because they are usually cheaper). Although I’d say splurge when it comes to buying paint. The consistency and color quality is overall better when you have the proper media and it makes a huge difference when mixing colors!

As far as other supplies are concerned, make sure you have a plastic palette when working with acrylic (a wooden one will absorb the acrylic paint and you don’t want that), a good palette knife, and brushes that are made specifically for the type of paint you are using. I always buy brush cleaner too because a really nice paint brush will last you an insanely long time if you care it the proper way (I use “Pink Soap” with Mona Lisa on the bottle).
