Jim Lambi - Tate Modern, London
Tonight I met this seemingly young man who told me about all of the museums he has visited. The one he was most fixated on was the Tate Modern and I can’t even grasp how awesome it must have been to experience that museum. One day I will be able to afford trips to these places I dream of visiting!

Independent Curators International - People’s Biennial
“People’s Biennial is a response to several critical issues within the often-isolated world of art. Prominent among these is the fact that many biennial exhibitions in the United States focus primarily on art from just a few cities, usually New York and Los Angeles and sometimes Chicago, Miami, and San Francisco. An even larger problem is the art world’s ever increasing exclusivity, which has turned the spaces where art is produced and exhibited into privileged havens detached from the ordinary realities of everyday life. A critique of the often overly spectacular biennial model is also a key aspect of this exhibition. In contrast, People’s Biennialwill display significant contemporary work originating from often overlooked locales by artists who have not had significant exposure, thus offering a potential model for more community-based and even grassroots exhibitions.”
This show open in Winston-Salem, NC, on Friday.
Edit: I was reading an art publication online and found out that the Biennial will be hosted by a museum in Arizona as well!

Went to MoMA yesterday and got to see all of my art history class favorites. I am completely overwhelmed by how great they look in person. I imagine it’s kind of like meeting a cute girl from the internet and having her be a HOT BABE in real life. I can’t believe I’m in my favorite city adventuring and feeling like the luckiest girl alive. I can’t wait to move here.
